The Tennessee STEM Innovation Network, managed by Battelle Education, is happy to continue to support school districts across Tennessee and the Tennessee valley with our various professional development and grant programs. Our accounts payable procedures have changed, and we kindly ask that you please update your vendor profile so that future payments for participation stipends, substitute reimbursement, and/or grants can be expedited.
1. All future payments to schools (not individuals) will be made via ACH. Paper checks will no longer be issued to schools or districts.
2. Payments to schools must be made to the district office, not to the individual school. (Exception: Private schools or charter schools with a separate EIN/TIN from the district)
If you have District as the Payee, but the Trustee Bank Account:
a. Please fill out page 1 of the Vendor Form and W9 with your District Name and District EIN number.
b. Please fill out the ACH Information box on page 2 of the Vendor Form with your Trustee EIN and bank account information.
3. Each district or private school will have one designated contact person for all TSIN/Battelle payments.
a. All payment notices and information will be submitted via email to this contact when the transaction for payment is initiated. (This will include the school name, teacher name, and payment amount/breakout, when available.)
b. Once the ACH transaction and payment notice has been submitted to the district or private school from Battelle, teachers who inquire regarding the payment will be referred to this district contact.
