Since opening in 2011 in the historic L&N building, the school has earned a reputation for its approach to education, which weaves STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) throughout the curriculum. Students spend much of the day in project-based learning that spans traditional courses and utilizes the latest technology.
Parents are taking notice of the schools innovative approach and results. There is a waiting list of students interested in attending. The school’s success is due to the forward thinking of the founding principal Becky Ashe and her team of dedicated teachers. And, much of the credit goes to the students who took a leap of faith three years ago and entrusted their future to a new magnet school based on STEM education.
As we celebrate the accomplishments of the class of 2014, we wish them the best in the future and know that they will continue to achieve great things.
