We are excited to launch our 2017-2018 Innovative Leaders Institute and the inaugural Tennessee Rural STEM Collaborative. These programs provide opportunities for school level leaders and rural classroom educators to expand their understanding of STEM in action and collaborate to promote meaningful change in their educational communities. Please see below for specific information about each of these programs.

Tennessee Rural STEM Collaborative – Applications due August 14

  • Deepen their knowledge of STEM educational issues and exercise their voice and perspective as an educator to bring positive change to their communities
  • Identify assets within their communities that can support high-quality STEM education and work-based learning
  • Expand their spheres of influence within their school, district, and region
  • Develop targeted solutions that build upon assets and address current challenges within their communities

Innovative Leaders Institute – Applications due August 14

  • Develop concepts of innovative leadership practices
  • Enhance capacities to promote best practices across the curriculum
  • Develop strategies to promote staff effectiveness and improve teaching and learning environments
  • Prepare leaders with the procedures and policies to promote success

The ILI is designed for two member teams consisting of Principal and/or Assistant Principal and a lead teacher. Three person teams MAY be considered if space allows. Program is approved for 30 hours of TASL credit. Learn more and apply for ILI by August 14th by visiting: tsin.org/leaders
