The Tennessee STEM Innovation Network is pleased to announce that Sandy Watkins has been selected to lead the Network’s statewide effort.
“This network is one of our signature accomplishments in Battelle’s extensive portfolio in STEM education,” said Aimee Kennedy, Senior Vice-President of Education, STEM Learning and Philanthropy at Battelle. “From teacher to principal, Sandy Watkins has built a tremendous reputation of growing quality STEM programs and we are proud to bring those strengths to our team.”

Wes Hall, the former Director of the TSIN, has moved into the role of Executive Director of STEMx , a national STEM network also managed by Battelle in which the TSIN is a founding member.
The Tennessee STEM Innovation Network is a public-private collaborative between the Tennessee Department of Education and Battelle, emphasizing a “kindergarten through jobs” philosophy by promoting the teaching and learning of STEM education and integrating real-world and hands-on learning in K-12 public schools across Tennessee.
