Sponsored by a grant from the Office of Naval Research, the MEEP program is designed to equip Tennessee educators to develop future ready talent. MEEP seeks to address the growing STEM skills gap in the manufacturing and engineering sectors by engaging K-12 Tennessee educators in paid summer externships with local companies in STEM industries. Previously, each externship experience lasted 3-5 days in the month of June. The specific schedule for the externship experience is flexible based on educator and provider preference.
