Last week, students at Innovation Academy of Northeast Tennessee , a STEM Platform School of the TSIN, had a very special visit from Todd Barber of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab. Barber discussed the Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter missions, answering questions from students and expanding their curiosity about space exploration.
Barber has enjoyed an exciting career with NASA and now serves as lead propulsion engineer on the Cassini mission to Saturn following part-time work on the Mars Exploration Rover (MER) mission and Deep Impact mission. Todd also is working as a propulsion engineer on the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) mission, which delivered a large rover to the red planet last November.
Thank you to Todd Barber and NASA for helping to inspire our next generation of STEM leaders.
